Joint Modular Intermodal Logistics (JMILS) is a series of modular, intermodal, scalable and interconnectable logistics packaging and platforms designed to move efficiently through the Defence supply chain on Army’s and are compatible with Army’s medium and heavy vehicle fleets.

Digitalised Joint Modular Intermodal Logistics Systems (D-JMILS) involves the Integration of location and condition monitoring sensors on ECLIPS’s logistics packaging and cargo carrying platforms using RuBee magnetic communications. Asset data is sent using integrated 4G/LTE, Iridium Satcom, WiFi modems or tactical radio networks direct to a User Interface that can be installed on-premise or provided as a cloud service. D-JMILS software can be integrated with selected ERP and Battle Management Systems to provide improved situational awareness and decision support across the global supply chain.

Fitting AIT tags to stores and equipment secured within Hammerstone’s D-JMILS reduces the manual labour required for asset counting and management. The information generated through this digitalisation can be integrated with SAP, facilitating knowledge-enabled logistics management throughout the entire supply chain, from strategic to tactical nodes. This approach will ensure total asset visibility throughout the supply chain, including during shipping and transit.

Integrated Logistics with IoT

D-JMILS uses wireless visibility and sensor tags that are integrated into an Automated Identification Technology (AIT) solution that provides weapon end-use monitoring, automated audits with field proven 100% read rate, issuance, and exit/entry detection.

The D-JMILS system offers In-Transit Visibility (ITV) enabling the transmission of cargo data and providing location and condition monitoring over cellular, GPS, WiFi, and Radio Frequency systems.

Our network is security-designed to achieve accreditation for use in secure private networks. and includes graphic user interface and dashboard reporting.
The D-JMILS AIT solution is compatible for integration with common ERP systems allowing information inputs to Logistics Common Operating Picture (LogCOP) and Decision Support Systems (DSS).
