Unique Identification and Automatic Identification Technology

Hammerstone is the Australian Defence Force (ADF)’s contracted provider for DEF(AUST) 1000C compliant Unique Identification (UID) labels, marks, and Automatic Identification Technology (AIT) products and services, improving inventory tracking, reducing stocktake time, and enabling real-time visibility of mission-critical assets

Our suite of technologies include UID, RuBee (IEEE 1902.1), RFID, and other AIT systems. These technologies automate data capture, streamlines asset and inventory management and provides real-time visibility of both inventory and the supply chain.

UID Labels
UID labelling is the foundation of asset accountability within the ADF. These labels provide a standardised way to identify, track, manage and control the movement of Defence throughout their lifecycle and the supply chain.
DEF(AUST) 1000C Part 12 and Defence Logistics Manual (DEFLOGMAN) require all serialised items that are mission-essential, safety-critical, ITAR-regulated, sensitive, accountable, or a controlled stock to be marked with UID labels.

Wireless AIT Solutions
Hammerstone’s technology portfolio extends beyond UID. Our wireless AIT solutions deliver asset tracking data and continuous condition-based Health and Usage Monitoring (HUMS) of weapons, stores, and other mission-critical equipment. Our portfolio includes:

RuBee (IEEE 1902.1): A wireless magnetic communications protocol designed to operate in operational environments that require low probability of detection. RuBee operates reliably in harsh conditions, including confined spaces such as metal containers and is safe for use on ordnance and near fuel

RFID and Low-Emission Bluetooth: Cost-effective wireless asset tracking solutions that seamlessly integrates into existing supply chain and logistics systems in industrial and commercial applications.
